Nostalgia Rush

Chicago

Chicago Wedding DJ & Live Saxophone.

You won’t regret hiring Nostalgia Rush.

He was AMAZING and so easy to work with. We had so many questions about music choice and flow, which were all addressed throughout the planning process. We had a backyard wedding, so things felt daunting to figure out logistically, but Lucas handled it all very professionally and everything went smoothly day of. We hired him for both ceremony and reception — he seamlessly transitioned between the three distinct vibes of the evening, and even learned a list of Croatian songs on the sax for us. Everyone loved him, and the DJ/sax combo was such a unique touch. It really elevated the whole experience.

We can’t believe how lucky we were to find Lucas.

We just got married and we can’t believe how lucky we were to find Lucas (Nostalgia Rush)! From the moment we found him on Instagram, we knew that we needed him for our wedding, and it was the best decision ever! He was so wonderful to work with; he’s extremely easy going, super quick with responding, and made every part of the planning process so much fun for us. He is also very adaptable, as he had to quickly change locations during our cocktail hour due to the rainy weather. Our guests can’t stop talking about how incredible he was. His saxophone skills are amazing, and it was such a unique touch.

Hands down the best I’ve ever seen.

I was at a wedding last week in Chicago... 9 times out of 10 the DJ is hot garbage. Not this time. This guy KILLED it — he plays saxophone and DJs at the same time and is super talented. He kept the energy up on the dancefloor for four and a half hours. I was just floored by his stamina, his talent, his taste in music, and the ability to read the crowd. If you are looking for an actually talented DJ sax combo and want a unique visual style to boot, hit up Lucas Sanor at Nostalgia Rush. You won’t be disappointed!

Real Bookings

Venues played in Chicagoland.

Based Close By

Chicago and the suburbs, regularly.

Lucas Sanor is a DJ Saxophonist based in central Illinois — close enough to Chicago to play weddings across the city and its suburbs regularly, without treating it as an out-of-town trip. He brings the same rig either way: a full reception DJ set with no time limit, MCing, dance-floor lighting, and live saxophone woven into the mix in real time, not layered on top of a track.

Chicago bookings so far have ranged from downtown venues to a reception at the Chicago History Museum — the same wedding featured in the video on the homepage — plus western and southern suburb venues. Whether the reception is downtown or out past the tollway, the setup and the sound are the same.

One Performer, Not a Roster

The person you book is the person who shows up.

A lot of “DJ + live musician” companies in Chicago work off a roster — whichever DJ and whichever musician happen to be free that weekend. That's not how this works. Every video, every review, every wedding on this page is the same one person: Lucas himself, every time. You're not booking a brand or a booking agency — you're booking the exact performer you can watch in the clips above, with pricing shown up front rather than locked behind a contact form.

Common Question

Is the sax just background jazz?

No. When Lucas plays sax, it never replaces the dance-floor music — it’s woven into the DJ set live, in real time, then handed right back to the mix. It’s built to raise the energy on the floor, not sit underneath it as background music.
